Leslie Knowlton is a journalist whose work has been published in dozens of newspapers including the Boston Globe, Chicago Tribune, Los Angeles Times and New York Daily News; and magazines such as American Health, Bottom Line/Personal, Bottom Line/Women's Health, Cosmopolitan, Fitness, Folio:Magazine, Moneysworth, New Beauty and Penthouse. She also writes for online media including e-briefings for the New York Academy of Sciences' web site and Revolution Health.

For more than a decade, she worked primarily for the Los Angeles Times. Ms. Knowlton also has more than a decade of experience as a medical writer and contributing editor for the Psychiatric Times, a national trade journal for psychiatrists and other health professionals, and its associated magazines and web site. Overall, she has had more than 900 articles published in the popular and scientific press, and online media.

She has an MA degree in psychology with a specialization in research methods, and is completing an additional MA in creative writing at City College. Residing in New York City and on Deer Isle, Maine, Ms. Knowlton is now working on a memoir and a collection of short stories.
